How to read this table

• Ranking uses the ongoing monthly price: the renewal price where a provider advertises a cheaper intro rate (Hostinger), otherwise the listed price. Plans that were out of stock on the check date go to the bottom.
• Currencies. Prices are shown as the provider lists them. EUR prices are converted to USD only to rank them, at the ECB reference rate of Oct 20, 2026 (1 € = $1.1215, source).
• Tax. Hetzner and Contabo list prices excluding VAT; US providers list prices before sales tax. What you pay depends on where you live.
• Commitment matters. Contabo's price is the effective monthly rate on a 24-month term, and Hostinger's plans are prepaid. Hetzner, DigitalOcean and Vultr bill by the hour or second with a monthly cap.
• Shared vCPUs. Every plan here uses shared CPU. A "vCPU" from one provider is not the same speed as another's. Our benchmarks will add that context.
• Not tracked yet: OVHcloud, Netcup, Linode/Akamai, Oracle's free tier, and promotional deals (RackNerd's especially). We only list prices we could verify on the provider's own pricing page.

Contabo

Contabo's page says the displayed price is the effective monthly rate for a 24-month subscription, shown 'for the first 24 months'. It does not state the price after that, so check at checkout. Pricing page, checked Oct 21, 2026.
